Plant and Citizenship

My first bulb plant. 

It was a weird flowering kind that flowered at the end of summer, 

and kept its green leaves all winter.
I was absolutely delighted to see the leaves shoot up last fall,
because I had been waiting since spring for them.

A swearing in ceremony, 

where immigrants took the final oath to become American citizens.

In hindsight I wish I had turned the Salmon & Egg around 

180 degrees before taking the shot, because

the Guacamole and Egg looks much more appetizing.
